How do decoys work?
If you get a decoy pickup a mock-up of your ship will appear in the sector you’re in. The decoy will appear to enemies as an exact copy of your ship at the moment you found the decoy. The decoy will stay in the sector it was found, even when you have hypered out. A single attack from an enemy ship will immediately destroy a decoy. Obviously it will be apparent to enemies which ships are the decoys if your health points or score change after finding the decoy. A decoy WILL lose health points in the Asteroid Field just like any other ship.
