The M6 Toll is signed in the same way as any other motorway in the UK. Travelling northbound towards the road on the M6/M42, there are 16 signs warning of the split, travelling southbound on the M6, there are 12 signs north of junction 11A. These are marked by overhead gantry signs, verge mounted signs and painted messages on the road to provide motorists with advance warning of the M6 Toll split in order to choose the correct lane safely.
