What are qualifying purchases?
Only qualifying purchases will earn SunPoints. Check Card qualifying purchases must be signature based purchases, internet purchases, phone or mail order purchases, or automatic bill payments. Credit Card and Check Card qualifying purchases do not include balance transfers, convenience checks, payments made for stored value cards such as gift cards and similar cards, wire transfers, money transfers, quasi cash, travelers checks and similar products that may be converted to cash, cash advances, payment of existing credit card account balances, fees charged on your credit card account, and purchases made when your credit card account or checking account is not in good standing.
Qualifying Purchases are purchases you make that qualify for Borders Bucks accrual. They are purchases made at participating stores, and online at Borders.com, excluding purchases of gift cards, gift certificates and some eBooks, after discounts and coupons and before sales tax is added. Shipping and gift wrapping are also excluded from accrual and redemption. Transactions in which Group Savings and Services discounts are applied do not qualify for Borders Bucks accrual. Items purchased or reserved through In-Store Pickup qualify for Borders Bucks accrual at the time of purchase.
