Why Micro-Enterprise?
It has been said that no tool for development is more effective than the empowerment of women. Programs that include a micro-enterprise component have been found to be among the most effective in empowering women. Raven + Lily partners with Women of Global Action’s micro-training programs by offering design input and helping to develop a sustainable market for the goods created in the programs. As women become able to provide for themselves and their families, they are less vulnerable to practices such as forced early marriage, human trafficking and other injustices.
