What does OPI mean?
OPI was started in June 2002 by Ben Olsen and Jon Persing. Originally they planned to operate the company under the name “Valley Builders,” but later settled on OPI Commercial Builders. Since that time, Mr. Olson left the company and it became known as “Only” Pershing Incorporated (OPI). For a time, a search was conducted to try and find the “true meaning” of OPI, and such possibilities as “Orchestrated Projects Inc.” or Objective Performance were considered. At one point, an effort was created to “re-write” Greek Mythology to create the lineage for the addition of “OPI-Maximus,” the heretofore unknown “God of Construction.” Irregardless of the possible meanings for the name, OPI is now widely recognized in Silicon Valley as a leader in general contracting services.
