How Do You Throw A Tacky Party?
Tacky Parties are fun…and oh so easy! Here is a list of ideas to get you started! You’ll want to send out some very tacky invitations to set the mood. Pick up any invitations you wish, just make sure they don’t match the purpose of the event. If it is a birthday party, pick up baby shower invitations and cross out the details. Make sure you add some stains, creases, and a few mistakes! Decorating…this is the really fun part! Here are some ideas: * Make table cloths made out of newspaper that has been duct-taped together * Plastic flowers, if you can find them. Otherwise…dead flowers * String a clothes line across the room (make sure it has some great laundry on it too – underwear, dirty socks, you get the idea…) * Use out of season holiday decorations * Have some “inappropriate” things out in your party room like fly swatters, toilet plungers, etc. * Use beer can pyramids as centerpieces (make sure it is really bad beer too…) Refreshments are easy at a Tacky Party.
