How Do You Get Plumeria Seeds?
Plumeria, also called frangipani, is a small tree or bush native to tropical America that can grow up to 30 feet high. When flowering, the blooms range from a yellow color to pink to dark red. Most people propagate plumeria from cuttings because there is a higher success rate from cuttings rather than seeds. You can grow the plumeria from seeds, but they are not commercially available as of 2009. To get them, you must harvest them from an existing plant. With knowledge on how the plant works, you will have a better chance of finding seeds. Choose the plant from which you would like to take the seeds. Seeds taken from a plant with red flowers will produce a red flowered plant, and yellow flower create a yellow flowered plant. With the pink flowered plants and hybrids, the color of the flowers of the new plant is unpredictable. Look for seed pods on the plumeria.
