Who Has the Best List of Top 10 Lists?
I don’t know about you, but I was recently making a list and checking it twice, which got me to thinking about the endless lists of best or top or greatest or most whatever golf courses around the country, and how they might compare to one another. I am soooooo tired of these lists. You know the ones I’m talking about…lists of “Top 10 Golf Local Courses” or “The 50 Best Courses to Play” or “World’s 100 Best Courses” or any of these type of lists. I could make an entire list of golf lists I don’t like, but there’s only one reason why I don’t like them. They’re bogus! I spent over a year traveling around this incredible country of ours by RV from early 2005 through mid 2006, and I was able to play almost 200 different golf courses along the way. One thing is for sure. There is absolutely no way to honor every deserving golf course with its rightful position on a list. I played courses you’ve never heard of, and might never hear of other than from reading about them in Golf America, and
