How Do You Read GED Test Results?
If you are not a high-school graduate, your GED scores may be important when you are applying to colleges or universities. Understanding your GED test results will give you a better understanding of subjects that you are strong in and subjects where you are weak. The GED, also known as General Educational Development, is based on five tests that are taken over 7 1/2 hours. It covers science, reading, social studies, math and writing. Scoring is standard across the states, although there may be slight differences. The American Council on Education has regulated the standard process of scoring. Understand the testing average needed to pass. GED students must score an average of 450 points on the five tests to pass. This means you can score low in one area and higher in another subject.
