What is definition of BAT?
BAT stands for Best Available Technology. BAT exists for non-ferrous metals production (aluminum) pursuant the EU directive on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC). The Fjarðaál plant is being designed to meet all published BAT standards.
