What Alienware Laptop should I get?
I bought the M17x in October last year and have been nothing but impresed by it. I have q9000 2.0ghz overcocked to 2.25 4gb ddr3 ram dual 260m in sli wuxga 1200p screen I would definitely say go for the M17x if your budget allows as it has the bigger screen and dual gpus. I can play any current games at max settings no problem. I can output to my 42″ lcd via hdmi cable at full settings no problem too. I would also say dont scrimp on the cost of the screen definitely go for the 1200p the difference in sharpness is amazing. Just adds more to the games in my opinion. Do be prepared to spend on a decent case to carry it about too I got one from Slappa for £100. Good strong protection although when the laptops in it it certainly is heavy. You will not regret getting it,a fantastic piece of gaming equipment. On the price of your Desktop (which sounds like a dell dimension) rather than selling it why not set it up as a media server, put all your movies and music on it and stream to your lapto
