The two founders are sons of American missionaries to Japan. Gemba’s founders were born in Japan and lived there 18 years and are fluent in Japanese and English. They worked with the Shingijutsu consultants and learned kaizen and Lean. They started Gemba to help teach and spread Kaizen through training, consulting, trips to Japan, and by developing training materials.
