Who is the author of the Codex?
I am. Well, I guess that doesn’t really answer anything. I used to have an “About the Author” section, linked right off the main page in the table of contents. It didn’t give out my real name, but it did have a few of the were-names and/or Internet “handles” I’ve gone by (including my most recent one, Yaiolani), a physical description of me, my career, and a bit of other personal info. That section has been deleted for a long time. Nowadays, I find myself leaning ever more heavily to the anonymous side. Six years ago, I used to even give out my real name on irc chat. But, today, I find myself feeling more and more as if I want to distance myself from the Codex and just be an anonymous, faceless entity to it’s readers. I don’t want publicity, I don’t want to have to talk about it or defend it to every furry fan I meet, I don’t want fan-worship, I don’t want to be involved in guru-wars or popularity contests, and I don’t want harrassment. I just want to write it, get that little warm fee
