Britain lost her empire after the war, so they lost out. France was devastated once again, but quickly recovered. Soviet Union came out with the most damage and casulties but would be the 2nd world power after WW2. Economically afterwards they were deprived, but they quickly rebuilt with a few purges and a 5 year plan. United States gained the most, they had no home damage to economy so it remained the same and they had little part in the war overall. They helped defeat the Japanese, and gave lend lease to other nations, but only joined half way through. Germany lost the war. Overall I’d say the Soviet Union won the most but also lost the most. 27 million dead, 75% of their industrial economy destroyed, yet they were the real reason the Allies won WW2. The Eastern front makes the Western front look more like a skirmish.
