Where Is Stanley Hotel?
The Stanley Hotel is situated in Estes Park, Colorado, USA it was constructed on the orders of Freelan O. Stanley. The hotel was launched in the year 1909. Stanley also set up the Stanley Steamer company with the help of his brother Francis Edgar Stanley which became rich and prosperous after producing automobiles. The fictional Overlook Hotel which appeared in Stephen King’s book The Shining gained its inspiration from the Stanley Hotel. King pasteurized the concept for the novel while he was residing in room 217 of Stanley hotel. The television series The Shining was shot at the Stanley hotel in the year 1997. Over the period of years it has also been the location for many movies and television series. It was also used as “Hotel Danbury” for the movie Dumb and Dumber.
