Do the Kids Voting votes “count?

They do not count toward the results of the adult election, but the kids’ votes are tallied and brought to Lawrence High School, where students compile the Kids Voting ballots for all of Douglas County. The results will be reported to the local media and shared by newspapers and on television and radio. In addition, the Douglas County results will be reported to Kids Voting Kansas in Topeka, which will compile statewide results. They will forward the state results to Kids Voting USA in Washington, D.C.
