What is a “Chasing” message?
You can “Chase” a recipient, through all of their communication devices in the order that you specify, until the message gets through. This feature is also known as the “Follow Me” feature. When sending a Chasing Message you can avoid swamping your recipient with multiple messages. Once reached, the recipient is not bothered again. To Send a Chasing Message, choose the chasing message option by clicking the Chasing Message button when selecting recipient’s communication devices in Address Book or through choosing the Add from address book button in the Compose page. The icon next to messages in Sent Items folder indicates that it was a Chasing Message. You can determine the device order in which a recipient will be contacted by changing the default order in the Chasing Message Preferences under General Preferences.
