What is the use of a PP Up?
Its purpose is to increase the PP of an ability of a Pokemon. You can use a maximum of three PP Ups per ability. But the PP increased will vary so here’s how it works. The ability that has a low max PP will not increase very much, but an ability with a high max PP will. For example, if you use 3 PP Up on Tackle, its max will become 56 from 35. If you use it on Hyper Beam, its max will become 8 from 5.
