How Do You Make Wool Bed Pads?
A simple and economical way to keep your bed warm during the winter is to fashion a wool bed pad. Wool bed pads are placed directly under a fitted sheet. Making a wool bed pad requires few tools and does not require special skills. Measure the length and width of your bed and write down the dimensions. Find a piece of wool that will fit your bed. An old wool blanket works nicely, or you can purchase wool from a fabric store. Spread out the wool on a smooth, flat surface, then measure and mark your bed’s dimensions on the fabric. Use a yardstick as a straight edge. Using your scissors, cut the wool along the markings you made. Place your mattress pad on top of your mattress, then place the wool pad you just cut out on top of the mattress pad. Place your fitted sheet on top of your wool pad and continue dressing your bed as you normally would.
