How will the information be used by DFID?
The summaries are intended to increase our knowledge of multilateral effectiveness. In so doing they will enable us to better hold multilaterals to account for delivery on the ground and to promote multilateral reform objectives. They will also be one of the tools we use to inform resource allocations. However, there are a range of factors which DFID takes into account when making resource allocation decisions including the appropriate role and size of the multilateral in the international architecture; its relevance for poverty reduction or humanitarian aid; its policy stance and instruments; and its leadership and potential for reform.
