There are only 3 Scrum Roles: The Product Owner – who represents all customers and manages the Product Backlog. This is the person who is always able to present to the team what the highest priority pieces of work to work on next are. The Team – there maybe many teams who work on a Scrum project, but each team should optimally be 7-9 people; they form cross functional teams that manage themselves. It’s totally up to them, within the guidelines, standards and conventions of the organisation to figure out the work necessary to turn the Product Backlog that the customer wants turned into an increment and then to do the work to turn the Product Backlog into the increment of potentially shippable product functionality.
