How Do You Make Homeade Crayons?
Using the same old crayons can be boring. Here is an easy activity to make new improved crayons. Once you understand the basics, the possibilities are endless! So start saving those scrap crayons, and let’s get started! Get out some newspaper and cover a table. Dump out all scrap crayons, and begin taking the paper off. You can use either crayola or generic. Separate the crayons by color. You can use old coffee tins or jars. This would be a great color sorting activity for a toddler. Fill the old muffin pan with crayons. You can mix colors up to see what happens. Place in a pre-heated oven (375 degrees) until melted. Check every 5 minutes. When completely cool, take the crayons out and enjoy! Once you get the hang of it, you can use cookie cutters and even start mixing colors! You can even add glitter! Have fun!
