The Iranian Visa?
(see my visa section here for more information) This is a rich and varied subject. I will stick to what I know. Patience will be needed. Americans and British will have a tougher time. For everyone there are agency’s out there offering to get you an authorization code, that will speed up your process. It is true that the code speeds things up, if you need authorization. If your country is on a list the iranian’s are friendly with – then no need! How do you know if your country is on the list? Simple, at the Iranian Embassy you are applying to; telephone ahead. Ask for the visa section and tell them you would like to apply for a tourist visa. Ask what is required, and the waiting time. You may well be surprised at the reply. These agencies will charge you and offer no guarantees. They often want bank transfers or paypal transfers. I would go the telephone the embassy route first.
