Where is Liddy?
Where’s Liddy Dole? Apparently she’s MIA on the OLF debate. From the mountains to the coast, citizens opposed the Navy’s plan to put an outlying landing field near an important wildlife refuge in northeastern North Carolina. Even Republicans like State Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler said the Navy’s preferred site in Washington and Beaufort counties would consume too much farmland. Even radical GOP organizations like Americans for Prosperity oppose the measure. But Dole doesn’t understand that no means no. Now she’s stalling by proposing a series of public hearings and comments across the state. The first meeting will be held in April in Charlotte. Too bad, it’s only 300 miles away from the affected communities. Let’s get Dole a compass and send a clear message that even she can hear from Washington DC– “NO OLF” means “NO OLF”.
