You can soak the nuts overnight first if you want, or just blend this up on the spur of the moment. Some of the best nuts to use: almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, walnuts. You can also use seeds (sesame, sunflower, pumpkin…) Feel free to use multiple nuts or seeds in one recipe. Blend the water and nuts thoroughly in a strong blender like a Vitamix. The mixture should be white and creamy, with finely ground nuts floating throughout. Strain it through cheesecloth or a nutmilk bag. Squeeze hard to get all the milk out. You’ll be left with very little nut pulp! Add agave, vanilla, cinnamon and other flavorings to this mixture and enjoy!
