If you happen to know a lawyer, you should ask for his or her advice on the matter.  You probably won’t see any justice unless you sue, and that can be time consuming and, if Tort reform laws are passed, costly if you lose the case, as you would have to pay for court costs.  What I would do is talk to my lawyer friend or consult a legal website as to my options, then drag the company into small claims court.  You won’t need a lawyer for SCC and the judge should decide the matter quickly (also, I doubt that the cost of fixing this problem would exceed $500).
