Why is god like an Absent father?
I grew up with no faith and with an emotionally absent father and some very abusive relatives who practically destroyed me. I was 18 and suicidal when I finally was introduced to the love of God. People had misrepresented Him to me my whole life – some of them horribly so. I found out how God really was when I opened myself up to His influence and ASKED HIM to rescue me and help me. After I did that, on Oct. 21, 1971, I gradually developed a deep and warm relationship with Him. There are ways you can get to know your Father. Talk to Him and listen in your thoughts for His answers. Read the Bible and learn about Him and many other things as well. Spend time with people who also love God the Father and Jesus and let them share their faith with you. It is all here, waiting for you.
