What are PPO Plans?
• (PPO) Preferred Provider Organization PPOs have arrangements with private physicians, hospitals, and other providers to provide care at a discounted rate. Plan members can refer themselves to any doctor in the network or out of network. These plans have more freedom of choice than HMOs, but more out-of-pocket expense. Physician copays may be more, and coinsurance for additional services will be 20% or more.
