Why infrared (IR) communications?
A.IR communication provides a wireless, secure transfer of data between your Deltec Cozmo® insulin pump and the CoZmonitor® blood glucose module because the pump and the CoZmonitor® blood glucose module attach directly to each other. For additional security, IR has a line-of-sight requirement and cannot pass through walls. Data communicated using IR can be transmitted at extremely high speeds (up to 4 Mbps).
