Infineon Technologies has extended its cooperation with Smart Modular Technologies for a highly optimized and customizable Bluetooth module based on Infineon’s Bluetooth V1.1 qualified BlueMoon single IC. Smart integrated the BlueMoon single IC from Infineon into a module which targets especially size sensitive applications, including handheld PDA’s and accessories such as mice and keyboards. “OEMs have been looking for a complete Bluetooth system solution in a small form factor that is applicable for the growing demands of the mobile marketplace,” said Robert Ragusano, business unit manager for the communication products division of Smart. “Latest technology advancements, like Infineon’s BlueMoon Single IC, combined with Smart’s industry expertise, ability to integrate communications technologies and outstanding manufacturing capabilities, have positioned us as a leading technology integrator and strong strategic alliance,” said Ragusano.
