How are utility relocations determined?
We are coordinating with the utility companies to identify which utilities will require relocation and where they will most likely be located. In general, utilities are relocated within the existing rights-of-way or easements before any new rights-of-way or easements are sought. At this time, we do not see the need for additional easements or right-of-way for utility relocations. However, some utilities will be relocated into existing utility easements. 11. Will the utilities be put underground as part of this project?Back to top ADOT&PF does not routinely relocate overhead utilities underground as part of road rehabilitation projects like Eagle River Loop Road. Our policies require us to do so if a certain number of consecutive utility poles are impacted. We do not anticipate such utility impacts on this project.
