What does Riza do at Hook Rehab?
[ top ] Riza practices commands with patients who might benefit from her intervention in their treatment. She helps to educate the community about service dogs and what they have to offer. Just a few of her many skills are retrieving items for patients, pulling wheelchairs and turning lights on and off. She is even trained to bring an apple to someone without taking a bite of her own or even putting any teeth marks in it! In a facility, a canine companion can offer motivation, emotional support and unconditional love. Riza will continue to receive advanced training and will be able to help patients put on and take off socks, retrieve food from cupboards and many other tasks.
