What is an Employment At-Will Clause?
Employment At-Will is a restatement of the right for either the employer or the employee to terminate the employment relationship, with or without cause, with or without notice. While this is usually the nature of the employment relationship, it is recommended that this be clearly established in writing on forms that the employee signs. It is suggested that this type of statement be placed prominently in several places such as the Employment Application, Employee Handbook, Employment Offer Letters, and similar documents.
