you dont need to pay for anything else find out model name of your dvd drive, google the ‘model name driver’ it’ll bring you more than likely to manufacturs website download and install, for free

look, if your still not sure on what to do then go to your local computer store (where you bought it) and get them to look at it and fix it for you sounds like the CD is scratched also you may want to contact HP and check your warranty to see if that is still covered
