How Do You Change Coveralls To Dresses?
Turn an old pair of coveralls into a chic dress perfect for a busy weekend day out. Work with denim, twill or other fabrics to make a simple (and washable) dress. This recycling project is great for a beginning sewer but also offers embellishment and tailoring opportunities if you’re more experienced. Try on the coveralls. Determine the desired dress length and add one inch for a hem. Be sure that the coveralls fit well through the bust and hips if you want to change coveralls to dresses. Mark the dress length, measuring up from the floor for the best fit. Allow a bit extra if you are unsure. Cut away the excess fabric from the legs of your coveralls. Turn the coveralls inside out. Cut along the inside leg seams of your coveralls to create a coverall skirt. Fold the excess fabric to the inside to form a straight seam.
