HotSync software, which is included with all new Palm PDAs and is compatible with both PC and Mac systems, backs up your device’s data to your computer and synchronizes other information. HotSync allows you to synchronize data such as calendar events, contacts and tasks between your PDA and your computer. Connect your Palm PDA to your PC or Mac computer using the USB cable or cradle that came with your PDA. Launch the HotSync application by using the Start menu on a PC or the Dock on a Mac. Select the “Enabled” option in the main HotSync window and check the box next to “Enable HotSync software at system startup.” Go to the “Connection Settings” tab at the top of the window. Check the box next to the “USB” connection option. Press the HotSync button on your Palm PDA or go to the HotSync application on your device to connect to your computer.
