Keeping fleas off of your dog can be a constant battle, but if your dog is a beloved member of your family, she deserves the safest and most effective flea treatment available. Unfortunately, commercial flea oils are laden with chemicals and preservatives, but there is an alternative. You can make your own herbal flea oil easily. Put all of the essential oils and the water into the spray bottle. Shake the spray bottle to mix the spray thoroughly. Set the sprayer to mist and spray the dog as needed, covering his entire coat. Shake well before each use. Sterilize the jar in freshly boiled water. Combine the oil and essential oil of rose geranium in the jar and tighten the lid securely. Shake until the mixture is completely blended. Put a few drops on the dog’s collar. The oil is powerful, so don’t overdo it.
