Adjusted acquisition cost for purposes of determining reimbursement rates for DME is the lowest price paid to a supplier by an eligible provider for durable medical equipment, medical/surgical supplies after adjustments for quantity discounts and excluding all associated costs, including but not limited to, shipping, freight, handling and insurance costs. Any prompt payment discount received by the provider shall not reduce the adjusted acquisition cost.
