Why Become a Stockbroker?
“It’s kind of interesting when you look back in your life, when I was a little kid I–my goal was to become a garbage collector. We loved the garbage men when they went by because they always talked to us as little kids. We thought that was great. And then like most kids, as I got a little older I thought I’d like to be a policeman or a fireman–and they’re very great professions, and I probably could have done very well with. And then after that, I started working in the service station. And I worked there on and off for about five or six years, and starting at the age of fifteen, and then I became a truck driver. And I was very proud of that. I got where I could drive eighteen wheelers, and I finally ended up, prior to my leaving to go no a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I was driving a ready-mix cement truck. And I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. I was making so much money. Needless to say, from there I did end up in the Marine Corps and then came
