OIML R117 is an international recommendation for Measuring systems for liquids other than water and is the standard commonly adopted for petroleum applications.The OIML is a worldwide intergovernmental organization whose main task is that of harmonizing the metrological regulations and controls used by it’s member states. Most countries are members of OIML although not all countries have yet ratified OIML R117.
