Herbs can be purchased as teas, tinctures, tablets, and capsules. Teas and tinctures, being liquid, may be absorbed by the body more rapidly than the other forms. Gelatin or vegetable-based capsules filled with powdered dried herb come in a variety of sizes and strengths, so you need to read the labels to endure the proper dose. Tablets are powdered herb compressed into a solid pill, often with a variety of inert ingredients as fillers.
