Are there free Garmin map updates?
Garmin has a customer service email address on their web site, you should give it a try. Is your Nuvi new enough to qualify for the free update? It should tell you. There are no other free updates than through Garmin but do you probably don’t need one. Well over 99% of the roads do not change in 10 years. Are you driving in areas that are changing rapidly? I happen to live near a suburb that is expanding rapidly. There are a few areas (much less than 1/3 of that city) where the new streets are not listed. If it didn’t happen to be a shopping area, I would never see a street that is not on my 5 year old maps.
