How Can I Recycle CD Jewel Cases?
While you may not be ready to part with the countless CDs you have stored in an organizer, the empty jewel cases that once contained the discs can present a bit of dilemma. If you don’t want to reuse them as beverage coasters, recycling options for these square plastic cases do exist. For example, you can post them on a site for people or groups such as small music bands who may be seeking free cases to package their discs, or you can choose a customized recycling option. Visit Freecycle.org and type the name of your city and state in the box labeled “Find a group near you.” Look at the results page for a listing for a local group or a group near your city and, if you locate one, click on “Sign Up” located in the upper right-hand corner of the results page.
