How does lunchtime work?

0

First and second graders will eat lunch in the cafeteria everyday. We sit together as a class. Our lunch time is 11:45 MTTHF and 11:05 W. Students are given a pin number at the beginning of the school year. This will be their pin number for lunch as long as they are at Gause. Students may either bring a lunch from home, buy a hot lunch (salad bar included) each day or a combination of the two during the week. When students buy a lunch, they will enter their pin number into the pinpad and then go to the window of their choice (They make the choice in the classroom in AM). Early in the school year, teachers assist students in entering their numbers and we even practice doing our pin numbers in the classroom. Pretty soon most students can move independently through lunchtime procedures. If your child is going to buy lunch, you will want to send money to the office or to the classroom. You can send checks or cash and it will be entered into your child’s lunch account.
