The materials you are going to need are going to be your leather repair kit. It’s basically got an eyelet there for the leather, and then an extra piece of leather, if needed. The first step to lacing a baseball glove would be to examine the glove and see where the lacing goes. If you’re repairing one side, look at the other side and see where it goes. Sometimes it can be pretty intricate, but if you follow it and look, you’ll see exactly where it goes so that you can be prepared to lace the glove. The second part is putting it through the glove, can be a little trickier because you’ve got a hole here and then it goes through a lot of material, and then you’ve got a hole here. That’s difficult to do when you’ve got the leather in the eyelet. So, what you want to do is you want to put the tool through first so you know exactly where you want to end up an
