HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK, LOGISTICALLY?
“Coachees” and trained coaches meet in person, by telephone, by videophone, or by online communications. The number and duration of sessions vary, depending on factors such as the nature of the issues or behaviour requiring assistance, budgetary constraints and the length of time required by “coachees” to reach their identified goals. Sessions typically last up to an hour and occur weekly or bi-monthly. Stressing that the following are approximations only and contingent on the person’s goals, coaching on specific disputes commonly takes a minimum of three sessions. Coaching regarding peoples’ objectives to shift destructive conflict responses and behaviours, typically takes a minimum of eight sessions.
