Who Wrote King Arthur?
Whether the legend of King Arthur was based on a real person is not known for sure. It’s thought that the first writings about Arthur began as early as the 7th century. These ancient poems and stories were used by writers in later times to create their own versions of the legendary King. Authors most often cited as important contributors to King Arthur mythology include Geoffrey of Monmouth, Chretien de Troyes and Sir Thomas Malory.
