Cetaphil is a facial cleanser that has been touted as an alternative treatment for head lice. The treatment was reportedly devised as a scam by a doctor in California. The doctor applied an unknown product to test subjects and then shrink wrapped their hair in it. He later admitted that he lied to his peers in hopes of getting rich quick and that the product was nothing more than the facial cleanser, Cetaphil.
