Why Did the Egyptians Worship Animals?
Unlike some studies suggest , the Egyptians did not believe that the animals had special powers, but rather, that they symbolically represented the many attributes of God. Each animal embodied characteristics that could be evoked in order to accomplish a certain task. Egyptians included animals in their rituals when they wanted to symbolize a set of attributes, characteristics and strenght that a certain animal possessed. The Relationship Between Astrology and Animals Astrology and animals are related in the sense that each astrological sign represents the attributes of an animal.
