How does eDMS Work?
• eDMS employs the Microsoft’s SQL Server and dot.net architecture to provide a management system that is secure, scalable to thousands of users, and flexible to the needs of any business • eDMS permits businesses to employ coded data (sometimes known as metadata) to capture key information associated with documents • Use of the dot.net technology provides workers with a guided coding process that permits the creation of multiple indexes and virtually eliminates filing errors • Unlike most document management technologies, the indexing and search functions can be designed based on specific document types, rather than one single index system that must be adapted to all available document types • For example, a check may have different coding fields than a memorandum.
